Cooperated with Australia ICE WaRM, YRCC has been once again successful in applying ALA (Australian Leadership Awards) for YRCC young professionals. As the further conduction of YRCC River Basin Capacity Building Initiative, the application work was operated actively by the BC, Ms. Sun Feng, and the work can be traced back to Nov, 2007, which will provide another opportunity for YRCC staffs studying in Australia to enhance and expand their professional knowledge in science and engineering methodology.
So far, the BC of YRCC, has successfully coordinated and sent 6 batches of YRCC young professionals abroad, including the Netherlands, UK, America and Australia etc. This successful application indicates the 7th batch of YRCC young professionals will be sent to Australia in Jan. 2009 for high level training, and it is believe that it will promote the basin capacity in river basin management.
