    Granted Projects in the Yellow River Basin
    3 CPWF granted projects in the Yellow Rive Basin are as below: Project 12-Yellow River Rainfed Consevation agriculture, Project 16-Aerobic Rice System and Project 42-Groundwater Governance in IGB & YRB (STAR). Project 12 is contracted with budget of 1,480,057$ and with Larry Harrington from CIMMYT of Mexico being the project leader.
    Introduction of Yellow River
    The Yellow River is the second longest river in China, and it is the vital water source of north and northwest of China. Originating from the northern foot of the Bayankela Mountain in Qinghai Province, it runs through 9 provinces and autonomous regions and flows into the Bohai Sea in Shandong Province. It is 5,464 km long with a basin area of 752,000 km2. The annual mean runoff volume in years is about 58 billion m3.
