On the occasion of the 5th World Water Forum in Istanbul, Turkey, which will be held during March 16-22, 2009, the Yellow River Conservancy Commission (YRCC), the International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO) and the EU-China River Basin Management Programme (EU- China RBMP) will organize Yellow River Special Session on international cooperation regarding Integrated River Basin Management. On this session, new river basin management experiences and great Science & Technology achievements will be exchanged and demonstrated.

Experts and delegates from some of European river basin organizations, EU, UNESCO and ADB will attend the Yellow River Special Session and have dialogue on water resources management of EU and China river basins. This session is not only a platform to propagandize YRCC, but also one of the preliminary sessions of the 4th International Yellow River Forum (IYRF).
