Mr.Liguoying warmly welcomed all guests attending the ceremony. He said  water security of Yellow River is very important for China’s economy and society stabilization. The study of climate change in Yellow River basins is important part of China climate change. This project cooperated between YRCC and UNESCO was the beginning of more comprehensive cooperation for the both parties in future.

Since the founding of UNESCO, it continually devoted to promote educational, scientific and cultural cooperation among nations. This project will be implemented by the common support of UNESCO and MWR. The project will cause great significance for integrative management of water resource and guiding to effectively develop water resource of Yellow River.

Mr. Liguoying on behalf of YRCC and Mr. Nagy signed the Memorandum of understanding on cooperation between YRCC and UNESCO.After the startup ceremony ,Mr, Nagy made a theme speech.Relevant units and departments of YRCC, representatives from domestic and foreign institutions of higher learning participated in the project launching ceremony.
