Gansu to invest 450 mln yuan into Silk Road
 

Gansu province in northwestern China will allocate 450 million yuan to protect and develop the cultural and natural heritage along the Silk Road, of which 290 million yuan came through a World Bank loan.

The project will affect nine scenic spots in 6 cities including Tianshui, Jiayuguan, Jiuquan, Lanzhou, Zhangye, Baiyin.

The scenic spots include the Grottoes in Mati Temple, the Maiji Mountain Scenic Area, the Jiayu Pass, and the Yellow River Stone Forest National Geopark.

The project will begin in the first half of this year.
